Reading - Who Froze Farrell Flint? :o

This week I have been reading a fiction book called, Who Froze Farrell Flint? It is about a kid detective who is solving a mysterious crime in Mars at the ToppLab. For our task, we had had to explain some pieces of the story using the 5W's: Who, What, Where, When, Why. After doing that, we got to create our own ending to the story of the scientist that froze Farrell Flint. Here is the work that I have done! (:

Answer the following questions to help you make sense of what has happened in the story “Who
Froze Farrell Flint?” - add these to your blog when completing your Create and Share activities.

WHO are the main characters in the story?
1) Minnie Sharp
2) Farrell Flint
3) Doctor Topp
4) Mirtha Dare-Sweetly
5) Felonius Flint
6) Carey Love

WHAT is the mystery that Minnie is trying to solve?

He is trying to solve, which scientist froze Farrell Flint in the freezer in the Cryogenic Storage
Room. There were 3 suspects to question. Felonius, Carey and Mirtha.

WHERE does this story take place?
- On the planet: Mars
- In the year: 2117

WHEN does Minnie realize who has frozen Mr. Flint?

When he finds Mr.Flint’s bacterial coding machine in his pocket. He grabs it and hurrys into his
lab. He removes a transparent slide, and places it in another box – the decoder. The first thing
that comes up on the decoder screen was: “Mirtha”.

WHY did Mirtha freeze Mr. Flint?

She wanted Farrell out of the way so her half-brother could continue with his tourism venture.
Maybe he was even paying her to get rid of Farrell in the first place.

HOW does the story end? Your Create task is to write the next part of the story; what happens to
Mirtha after she is caught? You can choose to write this on the bottom of this Doc, or in your
Literacy books.

After solving another crime, Mirtha has been banned from the ToppLab and has been sent back
to Earth. Mirtha was in court without her own lawyer beside her. She has been claimed guilty
with a consequence of 7 years in prison. I don’t think anyone will hear from her ever again ..
Oh, are you sure about that? ;)
