Musical (:

Today my class and 8Gb were practicing our big finale song, We Know The Way from the Disney movie Moana. The song has a lot of culture words in it, but we will keep on practicing until we get it right. 

In Music, we need to be in a small group to work on a small performance. In my small group there is, Ruby, Sahana, Trisha, Natalia, Aroha and I. We are working on the song, This Is Me by the movie Greatest Showman. The main focus in our group is to learn our positions in the song and learn our choreography in the song as well.

Dork Diaries Research! (:

Today I am researching about Soccer. The main character, Nikki Maxwell, likes playing Soccer.

Soccer is sport where you kick a ball in a net to get a goal. In England they call it Football. They also call Soccer, the Beautiful game or the World game. It was first played in England around in 1863.

The ball is black and white and you can only use your foot to kick the ball. Only the golly can block the ball from the net with its hands.

I don't know much about Soccer, but I hope you all have learned something today! (:

Dork Diaries Reading Tasks!

Dork Diaries: Nikki Maxwell

Nikki is one of the most amazing characters in this story. She has a little sister that can be quite annoying sometimes and ridiculous, but she isn't the only one that gets on her nerves. Mackenzie Hollister is one of the most meanest girls in her school, not to mention Nikki's worst nightmare and enemy! At least Nikki has the most incredible best friends she could ever ask for! Chloe, Zoey and Brandon will always be there for Nikki not matter what, but Brandon is Nikki’s favourite since he is her secret crush. Enough about them, Nikki is a total dork and she goes to WCD. Her dream is to go to Paris one day in France. She loves puppies especially her puppy Daisy and she has a diary with all her secrets in there.

Introduction - Art! (:

Through this term, I have been learning about art and learn a few techniques. 

- Shading

- Cross Hatching

- Use Light Pencil

These techniques help me alot when I'm sketching or drawing. I use them so my drawings/sketchings look more realistic.

My favourite part I have sketched on this was, the body and its shape. Next time I would rather do a girl and see the differences between a boy's body and a girl's body.

I'm having so much fun and I can't wait for the improvements and, changes that will happen in the future of my art work!

Year 8 roles and responsibilities!

As a year 8, I will need to be a perfect role model to the year 7’s in HHS. I will also need to use the CARR values wherever I go and represent HHS. My responsibilities are, keeping our environment neat and tidy for all students and staff. Charging my Chromebook everyday so, it’s ready for learning and to be kind at the right place in the right time. My role is mostly to be a student and, to connect with others that are in my class and around me.
