Cybersmart - Comic Story!

In Cybersmart today, I used a digital tool to create a comic DLO about what one of the things I did in the Holidays. The tool I used is a website called, ToonDoo. You can create a comic story using this tool and it is very fun. In the holidays I went for a ride with my family to the park. It was fun, but we had to head home for a rest. I hope you enjoy this blog post and this DLO.

Uniform Changes - Statistical Investigation!

Lately this week, Alyscia and I have been doing a Statistical Investigation about our Uniform. Is it comfortable enough or is it to itchy?

To display our Statistical Investigation, we used Google Sheets to create an Area Chart to display our work. This Slide Show has all of our data and information that we collected to finish off this task. I hope you like it and please comment what you think we should do better next time? (:

Kete Project Presentation!

Through the past 3 weeks, we have been put into a group of 3 or 4's to do a Kete Project. The people that are in our group are people that we don't normally work with. So, this was like a test to see if we can communicate well with other people in our classroom at certain times. In my group I have Lucy and Andre. It was complicated working with them, but at least I had fun and tried my personal best! I hope you enjoy our project that we have done! (: 

Recount Writing! (;

Through this Term, I have been writing a recount about my Christmas Holiday last year. I had to include an introduction, a conclusion and a reflection at the bottom. I do have things to improve on which is the reason why I am at school today! I really hope you enjoy this piece of writing and please take a moment to write a comment on what I should do better next time! (:

Last year in Christmas I celebrated with my older brother, Allen, his girlfriend, Endara and my messy little brother, Blessing. We spent Christmas in Auckland and it was really fun. One of the things we did was springing up and down in this fun place called Gravity and I was totally party out.

As I was getting ready with Blessing, I heard a knock on the door. Allen and Endara was waiting for both of us under the shade. We left the house with excitement since it was Christmas. The plan was to go to the Zoo, but unfortunately it was so boring and hot that I could just melt. The only thing I found fun was feeding the pigs and chasing some little chicks.

Next, we all went to go grab something short before lunch. We had an option of smoothies or ice-cream. I chose a medium size smoothie with my favourite flavour, strawberry! I was feeling so excited of where we were going next that I decide to slurp my smoothie very loud so I can annoy Blessing.

Later on the day, Allen drove us to a fun place called Gravity. Gravity is a fun place where you can bounce all day. It is very similar to Mega Air in Christchurch. First of all we got blue wristbands and socks that had a strong grip under it for safety reasons. The blue wristbands were like a time limit. If you hear the colour of your wristband called out, then that means your time at Gravity has finally switched off. I had a great time, but I was way too hyped that I lost most of my energy for the day.  

After having a great time, the sun shined brighter than it was before. Endara bought fish n chips for lunch along with some drinks. We went back to Allen and Endara’s house to eat the fish n chips. To be honest I find fish n chips in Auckland better than the ones in Christchurch. Don’t judge me, I was just being honest.

While the sun was setting, it was time for Blessing and I to head home. I felt so tired that my legs could barely walk. Either then that I was so glad to spend the day with Allen and Endara. Oh and Blessing too, but mostly Allen and Endara!

Reflection:

I think my work is year 8 quality work because, I think my punctuation is correct and that I have capital letters in the right spots.

For next time, I think I should do a simple introduction that will make sense to others.

Next time, I would like to improve on the words I am using and use words that are exciting for other people to continue reading my Recount Writing.

Musical Touch Up! (:

Today I am finishing up the performance that 8Bh, 8Gb and I will be doing tomorrow. I am very nervous, but also proud that I made it this far with my class and 8Gb.

We are doing, We Know The Way from Moana.

It is a very beautiful and fun song to sing and perform to.

At the end I am doing a small solo bit and it is very difficult to sing over the song, but I will try my best since I will be wearing a mic over my ears.

I can't wait to perform tomorrow and if you would like to attend to the performance, then come tomorrow around 1:30 pm  to have a seat and enjoy.
