Kindness Around Us - Cybersmart.

Today I will be sharing my opinion on an article that I have read about random act of kindness on Instagram. A high school student created a anonymous Instagram account to share kind things/words about the people in his classroom. This went on for about a year until he wanted to come clean to all the people, who wanted to know who was behind all this random act of kindness on Instagram. I am relieved on how nice/kind this student can be and how it could've changed so many peoples lives on how they feel today. I think this is a good way to spread kindness and love to everyone around us. I also think that this article/student can persuade many students and adults to do the same thing. This has made me think more into what I should do to show some random act of kindness to other people. Even the people around us. Could you do the same thing one day?

The Mysterious Moa?

For Reading this week, my group has been reading the book 'Richard Owen's GIANT Mystery'. It is about professor Richard Owen, trying to solve a mystery of a mysterious bone that was found in New-Zealand, and belonged to a humongous bird. After researching about the bone, they finally realised that the bone belonged to a bird named the Moa. This story is very interesting and I challenge you to read it! Anyway, I had to create a google drawing of a Moa without using google images. Then, we had to add 4 facts about the Moa and put it somewhere in our google drawing. I hope you enjoy this DLO I have created and learned something new today! (: 

Dragon Feelings - Bar Graph! (:

For the whole term we have been learning about statistics.In my Maths group I have learned about Bar Graphs and Number Lines.The class learned how to do Bar Graphs on Google Sheets.We had to add in a title, the number on the side and the names at the bottom.Here is what I have done about Dragon Feelings. I have done this by using some Dragon cards that can help you when doing Bar Graphs.

Today my class and 8Gb were practicing our big finale song, We Know The Way from the Disney movie Moana. The song has a lot of culture words in it, but we will keep on practicing until we get it right. 

In Music, we need to be in a small group to work on a small performance. In my small group there is, Ruby, Sahana, Trisha, Natalia, Aroha and I. We are working on the song, This Is Me by the movie Greatest Showman. The main focus in our group is to learn our positions in the song and learn our choreography in the song as well.

Dork Diaries Research! (:

Today I am researching about Soccer. The main character, Nikki Maxwell, likes playing Soccer.

Soccer is sport where you kick a ball in a net to get a goal. In England they call it Football. They also call Soccer, the Beautiful game or the World game. It was first played in England around in 1863.

The ball is black and white and you can only use your foot to kick the ball. Only the golly can block the ball from the net with its hands.

I don't know much about Soccer, but I hope you all have learned something today! (:

Dork Diaries: Frenemies Forever Review!

This is one of my favourite books I have read so far.

My favourite part in the story was when one of the mean girls called Tiffany,

fell into the fountain at school while taking a selfie. It was hilarious!

The one thing I am confused about is, the book is called Frenemies Forever.

At the end Nikki Maxwell and Mackenzie Hollister did not end up being frenemies

or even close to being friends. So, why is the book called Frenemies Forever?

Other then that, I loved the book and I can’t wait to see what's up next in the

series of books Dork Diaries!

What Makes A Strong Community? - Writing

Being in a community can really be good for you so, you can connect with others from where you live. Working together as a community is like working together as a team. Hornby is like a community and how they can work together is if they listen, communicate and participate even if no one gets along. You should also get to know each other so you can get along and know what they dislike and like. This is how I think a strong community works.
