Lesson 1 of Learning Prep: Task 1!

Today in cybersmart, 8Bh and 8Ts has registered themselves in the summer learning journey. We also had to do the first lesson of learning prep. In the first lesson, we were given a task to do. We had to choose a country and decide where in the country we would visit. We went with the capital city of that country. Then we had to answer some question about the city/country by getting it off of google. We also had to link where we got the information from. And finally, we had to put down 2 fun facts about the city and why we would visit the city. Here is my results:

Country: Canada.

Questions:

Q - The name of the capital city is _ ?
A - The name of the capital city of Canada is Ottawa.

Q - The population of the capital city is _ ?
A - Ottawa's 2018 population is now estimated at 1,363,159.

Q - In January, the weather in the capital city is usually _ ?
A - It is mostly raining for 10 days in January.

Q - The capital city is located in the _ part of the country.
A -  Ottawa is located in the western part of Canada.

Q - The languages mostly commonly spoken in this city is _ ?
A - In Ottawa, the languages mostly commonly spoken is French and English.

2 Fun Facts About Ottawa:

1 - Ottawa is the fourth largest city in Canada.
2 - In 1857 Queen Victoria chose Ottawa to be the capital city of Canada.

    What a beautiful blog post. I am so impressed with your work ethic all the time and how you can self motivate and self manage your learning.

    This is an excellent example of what Year 8 quality work looks like within a short time frame.

      I would definitely try out the Summer Learning Journey through the holidays since my little brother is doing it to!     What an informative and well articulated post you have written for your preparation for this years Summer Learning Journey, I hadn't heard of Ottawa, Canada before however after your post I feel like I've learnt so much!
