Dragon Feelings - Bar Graph! (:

For the whole term we have been learning about statistics.In my Maths group I have learned about Bar Graphs and Number Lines.The class learned how to do Bar Graphs on Google Sheets.We had to add in a title, the number on the side and the names at the bottom.Here is what I have done about Dragon Feelings. I have done this by using some Dragon cards that can help you when doing Bar Graphs.

Musical Reflection

By the end of the term, 8Gb and 8Bh will be performing a song to open up the performances from every other class.

We are practising an original Disney song, We Know The Way by the movie
Moana.

The song is about how a Chief and his people found the island. They found the island by sailing across the pacific ocean and following where the stars would guide them.

Whats difficult about the song is that, the song has a low voice when some people including me have a high voice.

I feel nervous about the performance, but I also feel confident in myself that I can do it.

Who is Maui?

Well, from the movie it say that:

Maui was born as a human, but his parents never wanted him. Maui's parents threw him into the sea so they will never see him again. Then Maui was saved from the god's and they gave him a special gift that would protect him over the years. That is how Maui became a special Demigod.

This is one story of Maui that most kids should know:

One day, Maui and his brothers wanted to slow down the sun since the days aren't long enough to get there work done. Maui's four brothers used magical ropes to held back the sun while, Maui uses his magical fish hook to hit the sun and tell him to slow down. If the sun will not slow down then the sun will be punished.

Novel Study Reflection!

Novel Study Reflection:

I had so much fun doing the Novel Study tasks this term.

My favourite task in the Novel Study was to, Create a cover for your Novel you are
currently reading. I used google drawings to do this task and it was so much fun!

What made this Novel Study a bit boring was, last year I did the same thing but with
homework and Kete. Next time I would like to do something more exciting than just a Reading
bingo card.

Other then all that, I completely loved all of the tasks and I can’t wait to see if we do it again!

Musical

Today we watched a video called Jesus Christ Superstar. Its a musical in the early 1970's. Jesus Christ Superstar is a opera-rock musical. 

Miss Beer talked about the Broadway Musical, Wicked. Wicked tells the incredible untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two young women who first meet as sorcery students at Shiz University: the blonde and very popular Glinda and a misunderstood green girl named Elphaba. Following an encounter with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, their friendship reaches a crossroads and their lives take very different paths. Glinda's unflinching desire for popularity sees her seduced by power while Elphaba's determination to remain true to herself, and to those around her, will have unexpected and shocking consequences for her future. Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

My class and 8Gb are doing a performance at the end of the term. We are performing the song, We Know The Way. From the Disney Movie Moana. We practice and figured out the choreography. Here are some pictures to give you a sneak peek of how much we have done so far.

The two videos was spreading a message out there to let people know that,
your special no matter what name you have been given, but never forget the ones who gave
it to you. I am very similar to the people in the videos. My first name is actually Seraphina.
I also have a very special meaning behind my first name.
The reason why people go with Faith is because, it is easier to pronounce and easier to spell.
I have learned that I will always stand proud with the name I was first given because,
that's just who I am.

Musical (:

Today my class and 8Gb were practicing our big finale song, We Know The Way from the Disney movie Moana. The song has a lot of culture words in it, but we will keep on practicing until we get it right. 

In Music, we need to be in a small group to work on a small performance. In my small group there is, Ruby, Sahana, Trisha, Natalia, Aroha and I. We are working on the song, This Is Me by the movie Greatest Showman. The main focus in our group is to learn our positions in the song and learn our choreography in the song as well.

Dork Diaries Research! (:

Today I am researching about Soccer. The main character, Nikki Maxwell, likes playing Soccer.

Soccer is sport where you kick a ball in a net to get a goal. In England they call it Football. They also call Soccer, the Beautiful game or the World game. It was first played in England around in 1863.

The ball is black and white and you can only use your foot to kick the ball. Only the golly can block the ball from the net with its hands.

I don't know much about Soccer, but I hope you all have learned something today! (:

Dork Diaries: Frenemies Forever Review!

This is one of my favourite books I have read so far.

My favourite part in the story was when one of the mean girls called Tiffany,

fell into the fountain at school while taking a selfie. It was hilarious!

The one thing I am confused about is, the book is called Frenemies Forever.

At the end Nikki Maxwell and Mackenzie Hollister did not end up being frenemies

or even close to being friends. So, why is the book called Frenemies Forever?

Other then that, I loved the book and I can’t wait to see what's up next in the

series of books Dork Diaries!
