Geometry ~ 3D Shapes!

So for the past few weeks, my group has been learning about Geometry/3D Shapes! The difference between a 3D shape and a 2D shape is that, a 2D shape is flat and a 3D shape is what you can hold. We also learned about vertices, edges and faces. Vertices are the corners of the shape. Edges are what connects the vertices together. Faces are the flat sides. We even learned about the actual name of a 3D shape. What I will be showing you now is a task that I have to do based on 3D shapes. I created a DLO using google drawing about 3D shapes. We had to explain what the shape was, how many edges does it have, how many vertices does it have and how many faces does it have. I hope you like this DLO and I hope you have learned something today!

  1. Faith, I really like the colours you chose for your DLO and how you created a clear explanation about what we have been working on in your Maths group. I bet many people can learn about 3D shapes from your post.
